I’m sure you’ll all agree that Sunday is the laziest day of the week. If you do, I have great news for you; The Ivy Chelsea Garden is offering an exclusive deal, called ‘Sunday Lupper Club‘, which sounds so irresistible!
“Lupper” – a late afternoon excursion between lunch and supper…
The ‘Sunday Lupper’ deal provides a chilled glass of The Ivy collection champagne along with its iconic Shepherd’s pie. There’s an alternative option for vegetarians, which is a Baked Rigatoni Provençale. Included in the offer is a ticket of any late afternoon Sunday film screening at the Chelsea Curzon cinema
Cappuccino is always essential!
The Ivy Chelsea Garden is situated on King’s Road, Chelsea, across the road from the Chelsea Curzon cinema. This place has always fascinated me, especially the garden with its abundance of wicker chairs and marble-top tables surrounded by plentiful plants and flowers – an Instagram worthy sight.
This Shepherd’s pie is absolutely divine, I think I’ll have to take the chef home with me after all!
Obviously, I had to have dessert, so I ordered the chocolate bombe which seems to be so sought after at The Ivy Chelsea Garden. The waitress pours hot salted caramel sauce all over the chocolate ball, until it melts, and with a crack, this vanilla ice cream with a honeycomb centre emerges. It tastes heavenly, encompassing the perfect balance between sweet and savoury.
Sadly, dessert does not come as part of the package, but it’s always worth having one along with a mint hot chocolate drink and a throw wrapped around you. Now that’s what I call a perfect Sunday lupper!
